Ordering 330/331 Series Relay Slide Kits
The mix of accessories chosen for purchase with a Relay Slide is endless. Over the years, we have developed and refined a method for producing a single-line ordering reference from a list you put together. Start with the basic Slide reference then add to it the alpha-numeric keys (for example “B1”) associated with each accessory listing. For instance, the list you would provide us to configure your single line ordering reference might include a DC/AC Slide (PN: 331-1) with a standard, 1.2AH Battery Kit (B1A); a Power Supply for testing PO relays (B5); a Plug-In, Neutral Relay Adapter (D1) and a Carry Bag for the kit (E3) would be: 331-1-B1A-B5-D1-E3. This is the type of list you would provide to us to develop your single-line ordering reference.
330/331 Series Relay Slide Accessories
Power Supply Options – Our Relay Slides are very flexible as to the method you would use to power them while doing your relay tests. The overwhelming choice for powering DC relay tests has been to power them independently from local battery with an in-case battery and charger set. This method provides the user with maximum flexibility and eliminates the risk of bucking-battery damage to the Slide. A less popular option has been to substitute a 100-240 VAC to 12 VDC Power Supply for the Battery and Charger Set. The big negative to this option is the loss of mobility. The Slide is anchored to its power source. The positive aspect to this option is that you do not have the on-going maintenance issue of a battery. For testing locations with an AC Power Off Relay, or Vane Relays on electrified railroads, we offer a 120VAC to 16VAC Low Voltage AC Power Supply. In a nod to our involvement with customers beyond North America, most of our Battery Chargers and Power Supplies are now “universal”, where the cord that connects our Charger or Power Supply to commercial power can be ordered to match local requirements.
