Locomotive Speed Sensor Tester – Troubleshoot in-cab speed indication faults.  Verify operation of traction motor and axle speed sensors and cabling.  Simulate locomotive speeds from Zero to over 80 MPH, enabling FRA testing.  User sets test parameters (wheel diameter, sensor type, etc.).  Simulator feature allows testing of the cable link from sensor to the locomotive Train Management Computer and  the speedometer independently of the speed sensors themselves.  Powered by locomotive DC power or by accessory 100-250V AC power supply.   Both TMSS and AMSS are cart-mounted.  Wheels are sized to facilitate movement over ballast.  Easily portable, can be used by a single person.
